Cerner Project Manager17 June 2010, 2:02 pmThis client has elected to move forward with a hospital in a hospital concept, collapsing an RRIS Cancer Center into an academic hospital. Physically this means the combination of approximately 60 beds, which has already been accomplished. Technically this will require modification of Cerner, PBAR (our patient financial system), and S2K/Lawson for integration of these two hospitals into one entity. It will also require workflow changes for handling items such as labs, medications, etc. The client is looking for a PM to coordinate this entire effort from an IT perspective and provide a level of project management to the entire project. This means theyll need to be able to access what needs to be accomplished, determine workflow changes, interface requirements, and changes to core systems. Additionally theyll need to be able to manage multiple vendors and customers. They should have experience doing a hospital in a hospital previously.
