Senior IT Leader, Physician Foundation

Our client is a prominent West Coast academic medical center who is starting a new medical foundation.  They seek a qualified candidate for the senior IT leadership role for this new start up operation.  This position reports to the Executive Director of the Foundation with a dotted line to IT leadership at the academic medical center.  The incumbent will be part of the newly formed foundation senior management group. He/She  is responsible for planning, organizing and managing tactical and strategic information services to help clients enhance their delivery of services by facilitating the processing and delivery of information.  Key Responsibilities?   Directs and facilitates organizational initiatives which support the organization?s strategic plan and the implementation and delivery of application services for a specific area of responsibility within the healthcare community.   Develops strategies and seeks opportunities to improve customer service, reduces costs related to work processes in key areas and enhances vendor and consulting relationships. Develops and maintains strong, trusting relationships with internal and external customers to achieve desired outcomes and organizational objectives.?   Provides information and guidance on new applications and enhancements improving patient care and productivity in functional area. ?   Effectively collaborates with specific business units and IT staff to identify priority needs and resolve issues that may have an organizational impact.?   Directs the development and implementation of all applications for area of responsibility to ensure productive and efficient information systems are utilized and maintained.?   Directs and oversees the planning, design, implementation and documentation of all new applications and upgrades to existing applications and the resolution of application issues for specific area of responsibility.  Prioritizes and manages effectively multiple priorities and deadlines across many competing and concurrent tasks.  Manages risk and utilizes creative problem solving techniques.?   Directs the integration of all responsible applications and ensures data integrity and consistency across the organization. ?   Provides leadership, coordination and subject matter expertise across all components of area of responsibility and acts as a liaison and thought partner.  Provides coaching, counseling and development of others and manages effectively through direct and/or indirect authority as appropriate.
