Help build the Role Based Security within Meditech 6.0 – Team member for Project Access (Meditech 6.0 conversion and implementation) that will focus on the application security, user accounts, role definitions and defining the processes and procedures for the future.

The position is an integral member of the Project Access implementation team.

- Develop the security requirements, user roles, processes and policies to add, change and delete user accounts in a role based application environment.
- Work with departments and computer users in the organization, to define appropriate "roles" for user groups with specific security, information access and functional capabilities.
- Work closely with design teams; coordinating with project team members, end users and vendor implementation staff through all phases of the project.
- Analyze business operations to design, build and test the system to meet organizational and patient care needs.
- Develop the workflow for the user accounts; documents internal procedures in conjunction with the system applications.
- Set standards for naming and numbering conventions and security classifications.
- Troubleshoot problems; assist with end user training and system implementation.


Skills
-Hands on experience building role based security measures within Meditech
-Role based security expierence must include: development of security requirements, setting up user roles / accounts, processes, and policies
-Strong communication and facilitation experience

Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•        Analyze customer requirements, formulate solutions, form cross-functional teams, and successfully drive to closure custom Integration solutions.
•        Work directly with clients, internal TSC groups and Vendors to resolve multiple and various interface and system integration issues.
•        Provide technical direction to the team on Planning, Quoting, Implementing and supporting all aspects related to integrations or products interfaces.
•        Working knowledge of DICOM, HL7 (ADT, Orders, Results, Billing, Inventory), IHE, Cloverleaf, Mitra Brokers and other interface engines and standards
•        Understanding of Networking, Archive Architectures, Web, SAN, NAS, and Clustered Servers, Replication Servers and other storage and high availability devices.
•        Assist with development and improvement of interface tools, products, and implementation processes
•        Design and develop validation plans to identify and test new IT Offerings, systems and device interfaces either in a test environment or on-site as needed.
•        Lead Technical teams from the Client side and the Vendor teams to validate complete system operations during and at the conclusion of a project.
•        Work directly with clients and IT vendors on the development of HL7 interfaces that will enhance the data integrity and workflow through such things and ADT and/or Order download to various healthcare information and imaging systems.

Qualifications •
Must have experience and knowledge of:
• Healthcare processes and associated systems with a preference for radiology, cardiology and other clinical areas,
• Radiology, cardiology, PACS, data storage and network systems • Proven ability to establish credibility with healthcare and information technology staffs of large healthcare systems and medical organizations.
• Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Excellent communications skills
• Excellent PACS technology skills
• Displays strong presence, poise, candor and self-confidence
• Demonstrated decision making capabilities and shows independent work ethic and self-starter motivation
• Education: Bachelor Degree required; Graduate degree preferred in computer science, mathematics, engineering, finance, healthcare systems or administration

An immediate need is for someone with Project Management experience who can lead an engagement at a hospital that uses Epic as their hospital information system and is considering Capsule Tech or another company as their MDDS middleware vendor.

The successful applicant (clinical engineer or clinical analyst/informaticist with BMDI experience) must have strong project leadership skills, knowledge of the full lifecycle of project activities to integrate data from bedside medical devices with clinical applications in the hospital setting. Must be familiar with the basic inventory of biomedical devices in OR, pre-OP, nursery, and especially anesthesia machines, physiological monitors, and ventilators.
